The Gage County Historical Society and Museum offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for you to help preserve, protect, and promote the rich history and heritage of Gage County. We wouldn't be able to do all we do without our amazing and valuable volunteer base. 

 

Volunteer Opportunities

Your work at the Gage County Historical Society and Museum builds on your specific interests and skills. View the opportunities listed below. 

Museum Tour Guide-Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for Gage County History with visitors and school groups as you guide them through the museum. Training Provided. 

Museum Ambassador- Be the first one visitors encounter when entering the museum. You knowledge of Gage County will help assist with visitors questions, give directions, provide information on upcoming programs and event, and selling the items in the museum store. 

Research Assistant- Do you enjoy reading about history? If you do, this opportunity is for you to assist in the research of exhibits and programs. 

Digital Collections Assistant- Share your strong organizational skills and data entry skills to help assist in digitizing our huge collections of documents, photos, and items. 

Special Event Opportunities- Want to get involved but don’t have the time to commit to a regular shift or project? We’ve still got plenty of opportunities for you! Share your love for the communities in Gage County by assisting us during our special events.
