Gage County Historical Society and Museum

School/Youth Groups

The Gage County Historical Society and Museum has a number of school programs to fit the needs of a variety of ages and subjects. Our school programs and field trips to the Museum seek to inspire curiosity and provide an understanding of Gage County's history. The Museum welcomes school groups, homeschool groups, and youth groups including scout troops and after school programs to the Museum.

All our programs are FREE for all public, private, charter and home-school students. Reservations are required for all field trips. Please note that field trips for schools book quickly. We suggest that you inquire a few months in advance to book the best date and time for your trip. The museum cannot accommodate more than 30 students at a time. Schools that have more than one class size, please schedule multiple days for each class. At least one chaperone is required for every ten students. School programs are scheduled for the spring (March, April, May, and June) and fall (September, October, and November). Please see the Rules & Guidelines before you arrive.

Students of all ages can take a tour of the Gage County Historical Society and Museum. Museum staff and docents can easily adapt our programs to meet the curriculum needs of your group. Please advise staff when booking a school group of any particular focus or needs. Reservations are required and should be made at least three weeks in advance.
